Key Knicks Match Ups in 2010-11
The season Knicks fans have been anticipating for quite some time is officially upon us as the NBA released the 2010-11 schedule on Tuesday.
Amar’e Stoudemire, Anthony Randolph, Raymond Felton and the rest of the new-look Knicks kick off their campaign with a two-game road trip against division opponents with the season opener on Oct. 27 at Toronto followed by a match up against the rival Boston Celtics on Oct. 29.
The Knicks home opener is set for Oct. 30 when they host Brandon Roy and the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.

Other highlights of the 2010-11 schedule include:
- First overall pick John Wall makes his Garden debut on Nov. 5 as a member of the Washington Wizards.
- Former Knick David Lee returns to New York for the first time as a member of the Golden State Warriors on Nov. 10.
- Raymond Felton gets a double-dip against his former team when the Knicks and Bobcats face off in a home and home series on Nov. 23 and 24.
- The Knicks will have two four-game road trips, which tie for the longest of the season. The first is a daunting Western road swing when they play four games in five nights from Nov. 16 -Nov. 20 at Denver, Sacramento, Golden State and the LA Clippers. The second is a trip to Phoenix, L.A. Lakers, Portland and Utah between Jan. 7 - Jan. 12. The Knicks do not have an extended home stand this season, but on four occasions play three games in a row at The World’s Most Famous Arena.
- New York hosts some of the most exciting teams in the NBA during a 14-day stretch in which they play five of six at home, beginning Dec. 12 when Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets come to town. On Dec. 15, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen lead the Boston Celtics to town followed two nights later when of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh bring the Miami Heat to Broadway on Dec. 17. After hitting the road for one game in Cleveland on Dec. 18 to take on the Cavaliers, the Knicks return home to host Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Dec. 22. New York finishes the stretch with a Christmas Day matinee, hosting Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls at noon on Dec. 25.
- Amar’e Stoudemire returns to Phoenix with the Knicks on Jan. 7.
- New York keeps its Martin Luther King, Jr. Day tradition alive hosting the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 17.
- Hollywood comes to the Big Apple for back-to-back games when Blake Griffin makes his Garden debut with the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 9 followed by Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and the defending World Champion L.A. Lakers on Feb. 11.
- The Knicks will don the green jerseys on St. Patrick’s Day once again when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Mar. 17.
- The final regular season home game of the season is set for Apr. 12 vs. the Chicago Bulls while the Knicks close out the 2010-11 season the next night when they travel to Boston to take on the Celtics on Apr. 13.
